There are some truly unique features in the Xilium collection, such as X-Move, a flowing lateral movement of the backrest.

Xilium DuoBack®

Add a height and depth adjustable neck rest. Depending on your final fabric choice, the neck rest is finished to match.

Mix or match the upholstery edges using our Radio or Step fabric ranges to personalise your design.

An independently height adjustable back rest means you are able to position the lumbar support in the small of your back.

480mm high fully upholstered DuoBack, vertically split and independently mounted back rests. Designed to flex and move as you change posture. Proven to reduce direct pressure on the spinal column by up to 50%.

Choose no armrests, 2D height adjustable armrests or 3D & XD height, width and depth adjustable arm rests.

Anatomically contoured seat cushion, 50mm thick, medium density foam.

Seat depth adjustment means you can optimise support based on your upper leg length.

The Duo-Back backrest consists of two symmetrical pads, each individually mounted on flexible brackets. The pads do not press directly on the vertebrae and disks and reduces the pressure on the spine up to 50%

Xilium can grow or shrink by as much as 30% to accommodate a wide scope of people and is suitable for users weighing up to 150 kg. This way, you can be sure that all of your employees can sit comfortably, regardless of the size of your business.

Multi-Lock Synchronous Action With Weight Tension Adjustment

A clever design feature of all Xilium and Xenium operator chairs is that when the back rest is raised in height, it also travels backwards. This means that if you are tall more of the seat is exposed for a longer upper leg. Combined with the depth adjustment of the seat Xilium and Xenium chairs can easily and comfortably accommodate the taller user. In contrast, by lowering the back rest and reducing the seat slide, it will also adjust to more petit individuals. This is a perfect ergonomic workplace solution for multiple users of various sizes.

You can add a forward tilt to the seat. It is independent of the rest of the chair and raises the rear of the seat up by +4°

A seat tilt rotates the pelvis forwards, in doing so it creates a natural, healthy 'S' posture to the spine and encourages you to sit upright.

Seat Tilt

Activated by shifting your body weight forwards and positioning your legs slightly back. This is a tilt action that adjusts with your posture, unlike a fixed forward tilt which is either on or off..

Available with manual or auto-adjusting weight tension.

Advanced Knee Tilt

X-Move

The human body moves on three planes – frontal, sagittal, and transverse. If a only a chair allowed this kind of movement, looking after the well-being of your spine and the musculoskeletal system whilst seated. Our solution is our patented X-MOVE mechanism.

X-MOVE allows dynamic movement on the frontal plane, or to the sides. In addition, it activates a tiny rotational movement in the lumbar area. A thing to remember is that healthy sitting is dynamic sitting.

Additional Comfort:

Coccyx Relief Zone:

Hidden from view, our coccyx relief zone is a void at the rear of

the seat cushion which is designed to relieve pressure on the coccyx.

Memory Foam:

The use of pneumatic visco-elastic foam in the seat ensures comfort and reduces pressure on the sciatic tumors. This material reacts to body heat increasing its flexibility (regardless of the ambient temperature).

Often overlooked but actually very important!

Frame Finish:

Xilium's standard colour finish for the frame is black. However, there is a popular and growing demand for white, you can choose this too. Certain components such as arm rest tops, will still remain black, so as to keep your chair looking clean and fresh.

Fabrics & Finishes

Colours have a great power. They influence our mood,can positively stimulate and be the perfect background for effective work and communication. The finishes we offer have been selected according to the current trends because finishes are not only about colours but also texture, shape and tone which when combined together create a full emotional experience

The finishing touch is the upholstery and we use some of the best, accredited mills, including Camira, Kvadrat, Fidivi & Gabriel®

Colours Are Emotional

Your chair will be upholstered throughout in the fabric, vinyl or leather of your choice. This means the seat, back and where applicable, neck rest, will be finished in your colour throughout. The seat, back rest and neck rest have edge upholstery, or 'Runners' as we call them. As standard these too are finished in the fabric, vinyl or leather of your choice to match the rest of the upholstery work.

Xilium chairs offer flexibility in the runner finishes. If you choose Radio or Step as your fabric finish, you may also choose a complimentary or contrasting colour from within the range for the runners. You can also choose any colour from our Runner 3D fabric range too.

For example, this Xilium DuoBack is finished in Erika fabric ERF6005 and the seat and back rest runners are finished to match. This is the standard finish.

Main: Erika fabric ERF6005.

Whereas here, the client chose Radio fabric RDXF1510 for the main colour of the chair but opted for a complementary fabric for the runner edges. In this case, Radio RDF1008.
